The Original Soil BlockTM Premium Coir Potting Mix
The Original Soil BlockTM is a concentrated blend of 100% organic and biodegradable coir peat and fiber specially formulated to retain water and reduce runoff. Excellent for use with all indoor and outdoor containers. Ideal substitute for mined peat moss – coir is a sustainable, renewable resource and it re-wets better than peat moss.

GARDEN USES
Containers and Hanging Baskets
Used as the sole growing medium or combine with another growing medium. Coir has little nutrient value, so make sure to utilize an organic fertilizer or plant food. The water-retaining Original Soil Block will help reduce your watering frequency and help minimize harmful runoff that can deprive plants of precious nutrition.

Garden Beds
Add 1 part hydrated coir mix to 3 parts soil. In addition to providing for moisture retention and air porosity, The Original Soil BlockTM will help loosen clay soil and bind sandy soil.

Watering
Coir growing mediums generally need up to 50% less water than traditional soils. Gardeners should check the top 2-3 inches of mix and only water if the lower level is dry.
