The Original Grow BlockTM is a concentrated blend of 100% organic and biodegradable coir peat, fiber and small chips specially formulated for use in greenhouse growing and hydroponics. Excellent for water retention and moisture regulation. One block expands to two cubic feet of volume, filling a 22-inch diameter pot or 15 one-gallon pots.

GARDEN USES
Vegetable and Flowers
May be used as the sole growing medium or combined with another growing medium. Excellent for use with tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, strawberries, peppers, roses, Gerberas, carnations, and more. Coir has little nutrient value, so make sure to utilize an organic fertilizer or plant food. The water-retaining Original Grow Block will help reduce your watering frequency and help minimize harmful runoff that can deprive plants of precious nutrition.

Watering
Coir growing mediums generally need up to 50% less water than traditional soils. Gardeners should check the top 2-3 inches of mix and only water if the lower level is dry.
